The attraction of bright lights

The advice was to stay at home and not travel. We dithered about whether to go to the coast or not. In the end we risked Dymchurch. It turned out to be a good decision. The beach was busy but not packed and the temperature was a modest 28c. Parked in our usual free spot too.

The sea was lovely and warm too as the tide was coming in over the hot sands. Eventually, the tide covered the beach so there was time for a quick look into the amusement arcade where the three year old was entranced by the sights and sounds of all the machines.

The Pilot at Dungeness was open as usual for an early tea of fish and chips. Pleasantly cool inside too.

Tomorrow will be more challenging as it is supposed to be a touch warmer again. We wondered about the local leisure centre? I hope you’ve managed to keep your cool where you are.
