For the record

Home again! Mystère was naturally delighted to see me and Tivoli was gratified that this did not result in his ignoring her; he divided his attention between us, to the extent of ignoring S, sigh.

Our journey went very smoothly, although this adverb could not be used to describe our arrival in Carcassonne. It was one of *those* Carcassonne landings. You can always tell as the plane approaches bobbing from side to side in the gusts of wind. This bounce was so hard we practically took off again. There was applause.

It is hotter than Cork … 35C. Tivoli was there to meet us and I drove us home where we wilted for a while before going to say hello to Ingrid. Tivoli had made a Greek version of ratatouille for us, so Ingrid contributed the French ratatouille she had coincidentally made and we ate together before I drove Tivoli to the station. I had hoped she would be trundling towards Paris on the sleeper right now but, stop press, the train is over 2 hours late :( A sadly typical SNCF experience to complement her arrival.

Anyway, it was lovely to be able to offer her our house for some rest and relaxation, and Mystère appreciated her too, in his own way. Welcome back any time!
