So many aircraft types!

My neighbour has lent me this book. He met the author some years ago and the flyleaf is signed by the old gentleman. I’ve had to put down my other books (Golf in the Wild, A303, Winter in Madrid – I have several on the go) to get into it.  Winkle Brown flew 487 types. 

And the first item which grabbed my attention was the pilot's periodic assessment inside the front cover. I have about 45 of these annual forms, flying assessments, but none says “Exceptional” . . . 

Oh well.  It’s too late now ;-)
