Phew! Wot a scorcher!

As promised by the forecasters it has been (and still is at 6.30 pm) a very hot day.  The hottest I've ever experienced...

The shadiest part of the garden reached 38°C at about 4pm. Following the best advice we've spent the day inside where the temperature is a good 12° cooler...

Fortunately one of Margaret's roses was available for an emergency blip photograph.
