Islands in the stream

This part of the Connecticut River is shallow and islands formed from silt and sand have built up and support so many plant species.  I love paddling here, walking in the water, pulling my kayaking behind me, and photographing the variety of wildflowers.  Its a riot of color right now.
Extra is Blue Vervain with Black-eyed Susans in the background.
