About birds and their feathers...
...a few pointless but true observations by a bird lover.
Besides their shape, size and various behaviors, birds are identified and defined by their feathers.
They can't be anything different than what they are...can't pretend because their feathers give their true identity away.
I like that about birds.
They generously leave their feathers behind as to say:
I was here, I was here...
Here's is a feather for you
as a fine souvenir...
I like that about birds too.
Birds would have to be mostly comfortable in their own feathers, seeing that they won't have an opportunity to change, even if they wanted to.
You know when a guinea fowl has been in the vicinity...there is no mistaking its feather for the feather of anything else.
