Celebration!

This evening was knitting ministry at church and we were having a little celebration. The knitting ministry has been going for three years, and in that time, Betty, on the right, who is in her eighties I believe, has knitted over 100 prayer shawls, some for our church ministry, some for Matthew 25 ministries and others for friends and relatives. She's always so cheerful and positive - such an inspiration to the rest of us. A few years ago, she had to have heart surgery, and she was the recipient of one of our shawls, for which she was very grateful, but it wasnt long before she was back to it herself! Joan, on the left, is the leader and organizer of the group - she knits the most beautiful things for herself and her family as well as prayer shawls or childrens sweaters for our own ministry.

We woke up to more rain and storms this morning, though the rest of the day was mainly dry and this evening there was a lovely sunset. Laura and I both went swimming today. I've let my exercise lapse lately and I need to get back on track - it helps having someone to go with.
