The Sibelius festival in Korppoo

12 hours pit stop at home and at 9 in the morning I left to the archipelago with my artist friends. 

We had tickets to the closing concert of the Sibelius festival. The concert took part in the afternoon in the Korppoo mansion. Sibelius spent his summer holidays in 1886 and 1887 in Korppoo and was a guest in the Korppoo mansion with his family. In Korppoo Sibelius composed two remarkable piano trio works and 20 other works. 

In the concert Sebastian Silén (violin), Domenico Ermirio (cello) and Folke Gräsbeck (piano) played Sibelius and César Franck. It was wonderful! After the concert we had dinner in the restaurant Hjalmar's.

We will stay the week in Korppoo in the Villa Walden.
