Star Jasmine
We got up early and cycled to the wildlife area to water the new crab apple tree and fill up the two small water features.
We then spent two hours in our garden, tidying up and watering, but that was long enough as it was getting so hot. I also photographed some flowers of the Trachelospermum jasminoides which grows in a (normally!) cool and shady spot in one corner of the garden. The flowers have a lovely scent. We spent the afternoon away from the hot sun, indoors, reading. However, we ate dinner outdoors, listening on the radio to the Prom concert of all British music. It''s on the TV tomorrow evening so I may watch it as Huw Watkins' flute concerto played by Adam Walker was stunning, and William Walton's Partita for Orchestra was apparently really difficult to play. The concert also included Edward Elgar's Enigma Variations.
