A rather late arrival
For the first time in ages I went up to the Heritage Park to check on the goslings.
The main picture is one of two Greylags that appear much younger than the others. It's quite hard to distinguish this year's youngsters from their parents when they are just sitting on the grass but once they are all on the move the wings give them away.
The Canada Geese only come to the loch to breed and then eventually, when the youngsters are a few months old, the adult birds fly off. As you can see from the extra the wings are not yet fully developed so an imminent take off is not expected.
