Freewheelin'
It has been suggested, mainly by people with cars, that I should take the nut to swimming on a bike or scooter, instead of the pushchair. It's the only time I use the pushchair, because the pool is a mile and a quarter away.
Over the past two days I have been taking him out on his bike and I can tell you now its slower than him walking unless I pull him along with string, mostly due to dawdling and climbing incredibly slowly over incredibly small inclines, of which there are many in the neighbourhood. Basically it means the only time he moves like greased lightning is on the smooth flat floors of sainsbury's, which is precisely where I don't want it to happen.
So, condescending members of the public that think my son is too old for a pushchair, if you can walk a mile and a quarter pulling a toddler on a trike, swim a mile in 30 mins, play with said toddler in the big pool 15mins and then walk the 1.25 miles back with a bag of wet towels on your back, possibly with toddler falling asleep, the you go ahead and do that. Me, I'm gonna use the damn pushchair
Until July. Then daddy gets to take him in the car :)
