Half Portions!

Mid morning we walked into town to buy my brother a birthday present. Our neighbour Steve has an excellent little Whisky and Gin shop on George Street so popped in there . Great selections and he has also now included Rum into the sales. We bought Graham the Harris Gin and for the free miniature got Balvenie malt. Steve has some great info and stories about the various brands he stocks.

We stopped off in Hinterland and sat outside (under a brolly!) for some soup for lunch.

Mum was treating us and the gang to our tea out and as it was last minute most of the restaurants were fully booked. Decided to go to the Civvie (civil service club ) as S is a member . The portions here are HUGE! Cameron and Ben had half portions but you can see how big they are. Only Dave had the full portion of steak pie as he was the only one of us coming from work and famished. Seven meals, five puddings and drinks for £61.00! Tasty as well. Good price.

I had walked there and back so S took mum home and we walked it was such a lovely evening.

Settled down for an episode of NYPD. Thankfully missed the ‘candidates’ for the Next PM debate. I’d rather watch paint dry. All pretty much brain dead to what happens in the real world.
