A favourite spot

Yesterday we left Montreuil sur Mer which is not sur Mer at all and headed down the coast to St Valerie sur Somme, one of my most fav spots in France. Unfortunately it has been discovered by lots of other people and the sleepy little town is no longer all that sleepy, we both still enjoy spending time there though.
This area is known as Cote d' Opale (Opal coast) because of the light which has a milky quality to it but makes photography (for me) quite difficult. The main pic was taken from on the ramparts looking down quite a distance away, it remimded me of a painting by whom l cant remember.
