FORT GEORGE

Following the 1746 defeat at Culloden of Bonnie Prince Charlie, George II created the ultimate defence against further Jacobite unrest. The result, Fort George, is the mightiest artillery fortification in Britain, if not Europe. Now I know your all wondering where are the images of canons , muskets, pikes and swords well yes they were all there, but this little arched passage way caught my eye with it's little red bricks, oh the stories they could tell if only walls could speak.
