A Better Day, See.

It was an early start this morning, getting to the vets in Llanidloes so Hollie could be assessed, sedated and X-Rayed

We had to leave her for a few hours so we treated ourselves to a full English breakfast in the superb Travellers cafe in the town. The food was top notch (sorry Pisky, I accidentally scoffed it before I had chance to photograph it). Boy, it was good.

Then a walk round, with a very productive trip to the Old Book Shop in Great Oak Street and then back to the caravan and wait for the call. 

Which came at around one o'clock and the news was good. Hollie has knocked her poorly leg causing a sizable inflammation and great pain. But, thankfully, no broken bone, no infection and no obvious damage to the plates that hold her carpal joint together. She must be rested for at least a week, allow the anti inflammatory medication to do its job, and hopefully a gradual increase to normal activity.

We are of course relieved, and hugely thankful for the professional care and prompt attention by the staff at Hafren Vets in Llanidloes. So much so that we have registered with them in case of any further mishaps. 

My blip is a collage of our day around the lovely market town and the Clywedog Reservoir which has suffered huge drops in water levels due to a prolonged period of hot dry weather.

The middle image is a shot of an ox-eye daisy which seems to have set itself in an unused pot. Very impressive head on it with a clear image of the Fibonacci sequence,which I didn't know about until last week. Thanks to Scotan for the information!

And thanks to everyone for your concern and kind wishes for Hollie. You are caring and kind, and I think she will be OK, given time.
