Friday jobs

Did the shopping at Tesco and shoulder bore up well. It was busy in there today and I remarked on it to the lady on the checkout. she said she thought people were getting the shopping out of the way before the heatwave. Maybe.
We are supposed to be going to Quarry Bank Mill and Styal Country Park on Sunday but we will see how it feels on the day. It's been cooler today where we live.
Cleaned downstairs this afternoon.
Did some little jobs in the garden (more sweeping of seeds and a bit of dead-heading). The photo is a rose in one of our planters in the back garden. I think this is my favourite.
One of my grandsons was assaulted and robbed a few nights ago in Bolton. They got £150 in cash as they took his bag but he had his wallet and phone in his pockets so they didn't get those, which meant his bank card was safe. However, he has a fractured cheekbone which is painful. It's a lot less swollen now and he has a follow-up appointment at the hospital on Monday.
