DAY ONE

Beth has been saying that she needs to get more exercise before her next Duke of Edinburgh expedition, so I've said that I will go for a walk with her every evening. This evening was the first walk, no real hardship as the weather is beautiful. We had a bit of a late start as she didn't finish school until 5pm today.

So today we walked across farmland to the canal, followed the canal to the next bridge and then walked home through the village. It was a really nice walk and we met a man walking his dalmatian puppies on our travels. I took my camera hoping to see a bit of wildlife to photograph, but apart from the Red Kite that was flying over our house when we set out and some free range hens we didn't see anything. So instead you get a photograph of a bridge (or to be more precise bridge 4 on the Slough Arm of the Grand Union Canal, designed by Brunel). Please ignore the black plastic bag that is floating in the water.
