Swan

I went for a walk along a section of the Water of Leith after I finished work this afternoon and came across a couple of swans floating lazily on the Water. They looked very serene and calm.

I felt less serene when I got to the supermarket after I had been for my walk, picked up a few things for my dinner, put them through the self service checkout and then realised that I had forgotten to bring my purse with me. I had to go back home to pick up my purse and then march all the way back to the shop to buy my things. A very kind shop assistant kept them to one side for me while I went for my purse. But, still, going to the shop without a means of paying for your items is a silly thing to do. I blame it on the fact that it is Friday ....
