From the train

The window was a bit smeary but I still managed to get view onto the River Cart as the train left the station. It occurred to me that it would be possible to see the kingfisher and the probability of this happening might be higher than a lot of people would think.
The morning was spent in the bank, having endeavoured and failed to get an update remotely. I was given an appointment within 30 minutes however the adviser who needed to contact the relevant team remotely was similarly unsuccessful. I am no further forward, grrrr.
Sanity was restored in the GOMA library and reading Michael Palin’s North Korea Journal puts things in perspective.
I’ve just switched on the TV and Liz Truss is talking about unicorns.
