Living on the river?!
Up early this morning and walked Libby by 8am , then a quick bike ride round the area before it got too hot…in fact it was very cool in the shade under trees before 10am.
This is a view of a couple of the boats moored outside Hampton Court Palace with Hampton Court Bridge in the distance. The moorings there have been full in the last few weeks with variety of craft, for the concerts and the Flower Show. The narrow boat in the foreground has been there for a while and I think people actually live on it. I like the solar panels and all the plants they have growing. The other boat is a real contrast and more of a day trip, short holiday boat.
The Superbloom flowers at the Palace are not ‘super’ any more! They are looking very dry with few colourful flowers. They were supposed to last until September but that is unlikely to happen
I then went to Kingston for some things from JohnLewis and was surprised it was so busy before 11am. Maybe people were doing shopping because they know it will be too hot next week? It was very stuffy in John Lewis but very cool in M& S. Next stop to water a friends pots and some veg in her garden while she is away, they needed a lot.
A quiet afternoon at home and we will watch the first night of the Proms. A friend was meant to be singIng in the chorus but…she has Covid, a big disappointment for her.
