Life with a single blue crutch…

I’m delighted that today, although bright and sunny, is considerably cooler than recent days have been. It makes life so much more pleasant!
I thought I wouldn’t do too much after all yesterdays excitement so took my left crutch and set off on the same loop I did yesterday. It took me far less time than yesterday and it turns out that the road isn’t really that steep! I didn’t need that single crutch but it did give me that psychological boost so I felt steady and secure.
I’m not using the crutches at home but that made me realise how much I was using them for things other than their intended purpose!
As I walked up the stairs just now I realised that my inclination was to alternate left and right foot leading which I haven’t done in months. I know that’s the ultimate aim but am I supposed to leap right in there? Maybe take it gently for a day or two…
The collage is the planning notice on the blue building across the road from home and the derelict house behind it. The plan is to demolish and built flats which I think is a brilliant idea.
