Bamboo

A day of heavy work in the garden shifting soil under trees at the front - a long overdue task which I at last got underway. Despite the temperature hovering around 19oC, it was hot work. Then pruning back overhanging branches followed by a trip to the tip. Then a shop.

The evening was a long overdue gathering at the Loon Fung restaurant in Canonmills with friends. The menu has changed slightly but the food was excellent. Amongst the vegetables in the dishes was some “big bamboo” which we don’t recall having had before.

The other bamboo was the ceiling decoration hovering over us but which gave the appearance of hair alongside the wall decoration.
