Threave Castle

We had a slight detour via a garage in Castle Douglas to fix the faulty brake light this morning. It was just a bulb that needed replacing.

We had a wander round Castle Douglas and around Carlingwark Loch.

We then visited Threave Gardens (see extra), and finally went in search of nesting ospreys near Threave Castle. We saw the ospreys but sadly you can no longer visit the castle as it needs extensive repairs. We've found that with many of the historic castles and monuments in this area.
