(195) Generations

I spent a few hours on the bike today exploring the coast between Saltburn and Redcar. Main image shows a view from Redcar beach with wind turbines brought closer to shore by telephoto lens perspective compression. The extra image is a view from the same position, looking towards the remains of the Redcar steelworks. The steelworks was the major employer in the area for many years until economic factors led to the rundown and eventual closure of the plant around 2015. Demolition work has been underway for several years and slowly, industrial landmarks are disappearing from the landscape.
