Elusive son

Sam has been home since Tuesday but today is the first time we've had a proper catch up, and he's off back to Brighton tomorrow.  It was a bit of a last minute arrangement and seeing his friends at home has been important to him.

In sad, but not unexpected, news my Uncle Robin  (Mum's brother) who lived in Australia died today.  He was the last of the three siblings to die, all within 5 years of each other, and all from Alzheimer's.  He was a flamboyant, opinionated salesman and a hugely likable person.  I stayed (overstayed) my welcome in Sydney when I was travelling in my 20's and loved getting to know my Aussie family.

RIP dear Uncle Robin.  Thinking of you and sending much love to you all in Oz. xxx
