Glen Orchy

I thought I would have a drive down to Oban today. I haven't been for a number of year but I was very disappointed in the place these days, it is so run down. Every where looks as though it could do with a lick of paint and a bit of tlc.
My day wasn't wasted though. On the way down I stopped off at the excellent Castle Stalker cafe and had a coffee and a breakfast bap, took a couple of photos of the castle and then went to Port Appin for an explore. It's a lovely little spot overlooking Loch Linnhe and looking across to the hills of Ardgor one way and Mull the other.
After my premature departure from Oban, I headed alongside Loch Awe and then took the back road through an unspoiled Glen Orchy to join the A82 on its journey over Rannoch Moor and through Glen Coe.
