Twists And Turns

Some friends from Anglesey called in today for lunch on their way to a wedding at the weekend. There were lots of twists and turns going on overhead as we sat on the patio.

There were flocks of noisy black birds, crows and/or jackdaws I think, pretending to be a murmuration of starlings. And possibly in preparation for the Fairford Airshow aka The Royal International Air Tattoo which starts tomorrow there were lots of planes and helicopters. Some of those were extremely noisy too.

The first extra is a Short SC-7 Skyvan. Now owned by Pink Aviation Services (hence the colour) but originally owned by the Botswana Defence Force.

I think the Red Arrows just flew over, two formations of seven. No idea what the aircraft in the second extra are.

In other news my memory upgrade for my computer arrived this morning. I ordered it on 29 June, direct from Crucial. I could have got it next day from Amazon. Tracking shows it came from Prague, via Pulheim in Germany, The Hague in the Netherlands, Greenford and Bristol. I hope it works.
