Above is Dan Dan Mian, a recipe originating from Sichuan, China. It’s pretty popular here and there are a few shops selling it. This one was really good. I often don’t like Sichuan Food because it’s a bit strong for me, but when it’s good, it’s really good. This was definitely delicious. I’m no expert but compared to the others I’ve eaten it’s slightly sweeter than usual and has a milder salty aftertaste. I’m sure if I ever eat this in Sichuan, I’m going to have a burning mouth.
