April 2013 "Saimaa" Challenge and Red.

After yesterday's news I couldn't think of anything other red. I saw lovely old red houses, even more lovely old red VW Beetle and much more. Idea was stuck in my head. And why I took a picture like this?

Facebook was full of links to this news where teachers have been told not to use red link to mark homework to avoid upsetting pupils. It's been a while since I've heard anything as absurd as that.

Here in Finland the scale is 4-10 (4=failed, 10=the best and 5= the worst passed) or 0-5 (0=failed and 5=the best). So I thought this number 5 would be the best number to experiment the pupils reactions. Is it just the red colour? What if it is meant for the highest score?
