Lille
Seventeen of us set off from St Pancras station this morning for a day in Lille. There should've been eighteen of us but one person couldn't access their Covid passport online and so was turned away. Very sad.
Lille was a lovely place and we had an excellent lunch in Brasserie de la Paix.
The main blip is the Opera and the extra is part of the Utopia exhibition in one of the main streets. The Moss people are the creation of Kim Simonsson from Finland. The sculptures evoke an imaginary world, populated by fairy like figures from Nordic tales, in which small characters are transformed into parts of the plant world.
The Moss People are wanderers from the Nordic forests.
