Old Father Thames

My blip shows the River Thames quite near one of its sources in The Cotswolds. As you can see it has virtually no water in it at the moment.

As I drove to an important board meeting this morning I was aware of the lack of rain everywhere. The vegetation seemed to be gasping for refreshment. Today’s slightly lower temperature helped a little but everyone is bracing for a furnace forecast for the beginning of next week.

We have changed our travel plans for early next week due to the extreme heat warnings.

Hopes of getting a clear view of the super moon tonight are diminishing as it rises behind the Cotswold escarpment!
