Suspension bridge
Over the Morgetenbach stream. We didn’t expect it to be as long, or as wobbly, as it was (110m).
We set off in the campervan this morning, after picking up our friend’s dog who will stay with us for awhile. First stop was Gstaad for a coffee and a walk along the pedestrian street. We then parked at Oberwil and took the train to Weissenburg and walked back over the tops. It was beautiful and we soon came across the area of the Weissenburg baths that were first established here in the 1600s. One part has been reconstructed (see extras). It was really interesting to read all about it and visit the site of the bathing pool. It was such a hot day that we did have a quick dip. We didn’t see anyone else for the first 2.5 hours of the walk.
We are now camped at Oberwil, listening to the sound of cow bells.
