Alms houses

They were built for the elderly and poor people of Poynton to live in and are run by a charity. I think you used to have to be an active member of the church at one time in order to live there. I saw one advertised recently which specified a maximum income but I don’t think it mentioned church attendance. They’ve been built with plenty of shade around them.
