Spider Lily

I bought this as a bulb from the supermarket, and only planted it about 3 weeks ago, not expecting much.  But suddenly, the flower appeared, which was useful because I had to find a blip rather late in the day. It's Latin name is Hymenocallis, which Wikipedia tells me is a genus of American plants of the amaryllis family.
