Rod Fishes with Dennis

You’ll all be pleased to hear that there is no further update on the gownless evening strap.  Someone may notice Dennis has waded into the loch.  I hope he is buoyant as the wind was up again at 30 mph.  This time last year he would have been fishing on a mudbank, but the loch (which provides Kirkwall’s water) is well topped up.  Meantime, at the Care Home, my Mum was really on the ball today.  Amongst other items, I took her a banana and she asked if its safety catch was on.  Just before departure she said ‘Oh, Iain, I forgot to tell you they took my temperature yesterday and I’ve lost one ounce’  (verbatim).  Things have come full circle as she asked me to brush her hair.  Bless.
