Builders started today . Just the bricklayer and labourer this time though - building me some raised beds, redoing the steps up to the french doors, laying a small patio area and gravelling all the courtyard and a path. Should take two weeks. Here is the old drive where the raised beds will go. They have just started by lifting some of the existing pavers where the raised beds will go.
Went to ‘Textiles andCells ‘ this morning. I decided to try and emboss a design onto silk velvet using some clay tiles, and them embroider and do bead work over them. Unfortunately the tiles were all slightly different thicknesses and so it didn’t really work! Bought foam from the market to sort out the guest bed mattress which is a bit short for the frame.
Got home and faffed around in the afternoon. It was far too hot to do anything much. Le phon d to see if I wanted a peony she was digging up so went to have a drink with her and collect it.
Had a tepid shower and went to bed still wet. It worked as I slept quite well ( fan on as well) but my hair was a complete mess in the morning!
