Fascination

Given my fascination with all things Victorian at the moment, I could be forgiven for wanting this painting by an unknown artist.  And I did want it ... badly.

OK - so it's sentimental, and I am told therefore not fashionable.  I disagree with the opinion, but that's a bit beside the point.

The dark spot you see in the bottom of her jacket is, in fact, a dirty great big hole right through the canvas.

It went at auction for thousands!  Way beyond our budget, and it would cost at least another thousand to get repaired and restored.
