Everyday I Write The Book

Best seat in the house

Well the garden actually. This was later in the day when the sun had dipped out of sight and the temperature was bearable after a day of 30 degree heat.

I had a long chat with the postman about it. He was convinced that global warming was a thing and that we were all doomed. In twenty years time the south of England would be an arid wasteland. Cheerful stuff. But he was having to walk the streets in the very hot sun and had plenty of time to think about it.

TSM and I took a cab to the doctor’s surgery to get her stitches out in her back and to change the dressing on her thigh where they took a skin graft. Exhausted after that (her I mean, not me; I had enough energy to dig another twenty bricks into a border in the garden and to do my usual daily chores).

Had a nice visit from The Dizzle this morning and a lovely call from Strider. TSM had a fruit basket delivered and a therapeutic colouring book. People have been rather lovely. But it’s still a long haul.
