Spittal Street
Another building designed by local architect John Allan (1847-1922), as a salesroom (of what I don't know). It includes some of his signature features, brick cavity walls, exposed steel beams and an incised panel (extra) reading:

This is a variant of the similar epigram seen in Dunfermline last week.
The last line on the panel is Allan's stylised signature.
I liked this building a lot before learning that it was Allan's. I think the entrance has been modified - there are two doors behind it.
