The Swan Family

The Swans and two signets enjoy an afternoon’s fishing near where the Brisbane Water enters Largs Channel.

The scene was not so serene a month ago when the parent Swans put up stiff defence against constant air attack on the signets by marauding seagulls.

In early June this was a family of seven, now reduced to four. The natural world is tough but the Swans don’t complain they just get on with things and make the best of what they have.
