Hebes flowering at long last

We bought two hebes a couple of years ago, one purple and one pink.  The purple one started to flower from the word go but the pink one stubbornly refused to flower until a month or so ago. I don’t know why it wouldn’t flower and why it’s started to do so now as I haven’t done anything differently.   Standing beside our front door it’s a very  welcome sight!!
