Early Morning Market
I was so early downtown this morning that the market stalls were still setting up! I managed to get all my lovely fruit and vegetables and then I was far too early to have breakfast in the café which only opened at 8 am! So I walked around the cobbled and paved streets taking pictures. I love the town when it's still fairly empty of the market day crowds.
Our bus route was deviated because of the roads blocked for La Tour de France (the famous bike race), so I had to do part of the journey by metro.
Wishing you a beautiful weekend!
Main shot: the bell tower of St. Laurent's Church taken from the outside terrace of the café.
Extras:
- View on the mountains across the lake in neighbouring France
- Place de l'hôtel de ville (city hall) with the huge Swiss flag providing shade to the outside cafés below.
- Entrance to l'hôtel de ville with a little boy running in front of the door.
- La Justice statue above a fountain. I couldn't include the fountain because a delivery truck was marring the view.
