The Old Road

Going through the village of billingham green today i noticed this old sign ( sorry if i'm getting obsessed with old signs) . since this sign was put there the A19 , the main road between Tyne and Humber has moved twice . It is now a very busy Dual carriageway and i wonder what the chaos would be if they reverted to this route (including level crossing)
