Take nine things

Since Mum and Dad died last year,I've had to clear their house. Sixty-seven years of their marriage means so many things to keep, give away,or throw away.
Here are some of them -

Ornaments, bear and elephant remembered from my earliest days, and a pink trinket dish brought back from a holiday in Australia
A novelty Christmas present, never used, but a present so not to be thrown away
A key to an unknown door
The pocket torch kept on the bedside cabinet
A faded photo of a fur-wearing ancestor.name and relation not known, and nobody to ask now
A shell from a long-ago day at the seaside
A 1950s powder compact with a trace of light peach powder, and a scent that's vaguely remembered

All kept for some reason or no reason, all mine to do as I like with ( only child ).

One day ,perhaps my daughter will do this for me in her turn.

I really must get that clear-out done.
