Pilot Hill

This morning I took a short hike at the Pilot Hill area just east of town. This is more prairie than mountains. I will talk more about this great project at another time since I'm trying to hurry. But there were some beautiful cacti blooming and tiny wild flowers every where. The extra with the blue flax on the trail is to show how red the dirt is here. Some critter whipped by, probably a bicyclist, and all the flowers were like I found them.
I had a great time catching up with Laramie friends after the hike.
The big event tonight is my 40th high school reunion. This is why I came back to Laramie in July. We are meeting at a local bar for socializing tonight. Tomorrow we will have a float in the Jubilee Days parade. It's lots of fun and I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of old friends.
