Garden Cottage

An afternoon at RHS Garden Bridgewater. Interesting to see all the changes since the last time we visited in May. As always, it is an inspiring place.

The garden cottage is now a listed building, and was the home of the head gardener when the walled gardens were providing produce for the Earl of Ellesmere at Worsley New Hall. It was designed by Edward Blore who is best known for designing the great facade of Buckingham Palace facing the Mall in London. The garden cottage is more modest in scale, but a good building of some distinction.
