The £19 carrot

We were dining in a new restaurant in Crail last weekend and on the menu I saw this vegetarian dish:“ maple and miso sand carrot”.
 
Intrigued I order it.
And that is what I get : one carrot. Price £19.
 
Surely there must be some mistake? No, says Google, sand carrots are a special delicacy grown in Normandy.
 
Yes it was tasty but I will not be ordering it again.
