The Royal Conservatoire

I've mentioned before that I never really liked the change of name away from Royal Scottish Acadamy of Music and Drama (RSAMD).  So pretentious.

But there have been a lot of notable students graduating from it. 

Sam Heughan of Outlander, and Richard Madden of Game of Thrones and The Bodyguard. 

Also David Tennant, James McAvoy, Phyllis Logan and Alan Cumming.  And I only recently learned that Betsy Brandt of Breaking Bad spent some time there.

But when it comes to music (we won't mention Sheena Easton) there is  Jack Bruce who played bass and vocals for Cream (he studied Cello there).   There is a 'Jack Bruce Space'  - a quiet area named after him and a memorial sculpture inside.
