Made the mistake of sitting down at the computer after lunch with the intention of spending 10 minutes on Ancestry. Trouble is, 10 minutes turned in to 20, turned into 30... er, over an hour if I'm honest. Reached a 'brick wall' with William Henry Davies - will be forced to kick him in to touch unless new evidence comes to light.

Yoga in the evening, and after that spent a while watering the plants in the 'yard and watching the swifts swooping above.

Coverage of the Westminster soap opera on LBC has been riveting over the last couple of days. Johnson finally resigned today - sort of - though he never actually mentioned the word resign in his resignation speech. Seems he's planning to stay in Downing Street until October... maybe it'll take that long to scrape the gold wallpaper off?! Hopefully, somehow or other, he'll be ousted before then.
