Messing about

The River Wye at Monmouth. Most of the boats seen here belong to the Monmouth Comprehensive School Boating Club, one of the few State schools to have one. All the boats are paid for through fund raising. In the winter, morning training begins when there is enough light to see the pumping station (a couple of hundred metres upstream). At this time of year the river is shared with canoes, SUPs, ducks, swans, cygnets, kayaks and three other boating clubs.
